One might be quick to give up hope on certain categories of non Jews, in particular the Arab residents of the Holy Land, and then write them off as a lost cause. What the Torah teaches us here is quite the opposite, when it looks like someone is a lost cause know that they are likely amongst those who will be the biggest advocates of the Children of Israel in the future. Even more so, there is a special connection between the Descendants of Ishmael and the Children of Israel which we mustn't overlook!
