Yes, but the abhorrence and disgust is dependent on having a spiritual compass and a spiritual backbone, namely the eternal Divine Commandments in the Torah that apply to all men. If we fail to re-awaken the Divine Image in those around us, the abhorrence and disgust quickly fades and turns to silent acceptance and then to enthusiastic participation. Therefore, it most urgent to provide that spiritual compass and backbone by teaching the Torah as it applies to all men.
The Euthanasia Society of America (formed in 1938) changed their name several times, becoming Society for the Right to Die, Choice in Dying, then merged with the hospice lobbying group, Partnership for Caring (run by hospice physician Ira Byock MD and others), which then merged with Last Acts (another hospice lobbying group) to become Last Acts Partnership. This was later absorbed by the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization ("NHPCO") with all rights of the former assumed legally by the NHPCO. So the NHPCO is the legal and corporate successor of the Euthanasia Society of America.
The NHPCO trains the trainers of hospice staff all around the country, and many insurance companies and States require hospices to be NHPCO approved and members. Hospice which originally was a pro-life life-affirming non-sectarian mission morphed into a secular humanist vehicle that in many cases may hasten death through stealth euthanasia, that is, undeclared, unrecorded, but intended medical killing.
The decades of stealth euthanasia prepared the way for the undeclared but widespread medical killing of so-called "COVID patients" through the use of harmful Remdesivir, the denial/withholding of effective remedies, and the delay in treating those who came to Urgent Care clinics, physician offices, and hospitals begging for help. They did this in order to be able to say, "there's no cure, so take the "vaccines!" which are the real bioweapons harming our people.
Stealth euthanasia is the hidden, covert euthanasia agenda, while legalized euthanasia or medical "aid in dying"/assisted suicide is the overt, open agenda. Both work together to degrade society, contaminate healthcare, and enable legalized killing of those who are unwanted by those in authority. I know a neurosurgeon who told me about a case where he had successfully operated on a patient's brain and the patient's problem was cured in that case, and was recovering in the hospital. The surgeon was going to the patient to tell them (because he had had problems with hospice staff swooping in and signing up his patients!), "If hospice comes, you don't need it! Your surgery was successful and you are not terminal!"
The patient and family told the surgeon, "Oh! Hospice was just here and we already signed up! They promised to provide lots of services." The patient ended up dying in hospice, but was not terminal!
This is quite common. Hospice staff in some hospitals are allowed to "troll" the halls and speak with patients, signing them up for hospice, which is a clear violation of HIPAA and privacy laws since they're not involved in the patient's care and have no right to even be there, but it's done in many hospitals.
What's more, adult children of the elderly know that they can get hospice staff to "do the job" and "keep Mom (or Dad) REALLY comfortable" ... meaning, sedate them, give them opioids to keep them in a medically induced coma, and then they don't eat, don't drink and "sleep" into death. It's a gradual, deceptive, but very real form of medically intended and imposed death/euthanasia.
Of course, not every patient is treated this way, otherwise knowledge of this practice would be much more widespread, but a large number are. Hospice used to be very life-affirming and respected the sanctity of life, but it has been infiltrated as noted above.
And it only takes one staff member to hasten death and the other nurses or staff may never know what happened because those who kill, ... lie about what they do, they falsely chart that the patient was "severely anxious" therefore sedated ... "in severe pain" therefore given opioids that slow the breathing, drop the blood pressure, put the patient into a coma, cause severe dehydration over time which collapses the circulatory system so the fluid volume of the blood is so low the heart can't pump enough to maintain life, and/or the opioids eventually stop the breathing, causing death. There are other methods used as well.
And when so many people know that tainted hospice does do these things, and they do because it's been done for decades now, they're influenced to more readily accept legalization of physician-assisted suicide, "medical aid in dying," i.e., various forms of euthanasia.
